9 Pound Cannons of Fort Canning Park, Singapore

This is one of the two 9 Pound Cannons located atop the Fort Canning Hill in the Park in the present times (though not originally from Fort Canning).

Previously, as a military garrison, the fort was armed with seven 68-pound guns, eight 8-inch guns and two 13-inch mortars. Fort canning is amongst the most historical of all places in Singapore. Amongst the most important events was the decision for Singapore to surrender, which was taken at a bunker in this hill.
